Add branch

Fill this in, press Test camera, then Save.

Cameras in the same group show together on the head office camera wall.

Camera

Whichever you pick, H.264 video is best. Browsers can't show H.265, so the server converts H.265 cameras itself (needs ffmpeg, and uses server CPU).

For a branch: that branch's public (static) IP. For testing on this network: the camera's own IP.

Saved. Leave empty to keep it.

Tapo app → camera → ⚙️ → Advanced Settings → Camera Account. Control port is only for cameras that can move or zoom (ONVIF); leave it on Auto (2020 for Tapo, 80 for others).

Open this once on the branch screen. Keep it private.

A new link signs out the old screen.

Saving restarts video, so a call in progress will drop.

    Cameras and branches

Everything head office can see and call.

    Open as spreadsheet

    Add many cameras

One camera per line. You can paste from Excel too.

Each line: Name, IP. Optional: :port after the IP and a Group at the end. A line with only an IP gets a name like “Camera 192.168.1.30”.

    Network scan

Finds every device on the network this server is on, with its open ports, and picks out the cameras. On the AWS server this can't see branch cameras: run node tools/find-cameras.js on a PC at the branch instead.

With a username and password, the scan also confirms which video address works.

    0Cameras

    –Public IP

They're added with the camera username and password typed above.

    People at head office

Each person signs in on the head office page with their mobile number and password, so everyone can see who is talking to a branch. People are added, changed and removed in the database's users table (see the README); they can sign in straight away. The shared head office password keeps working too.

    Server and passwords

On AWS: the Elastic IP. When testing on this computer: its local IP (e.g. 192.168.29.122).

Only used for the cost estimate on the head office Status page.
